What exactly do you mean by 'cannot use the link facility or to insert images etc' ?
Are you getting an error message?
Make sure in the top right where it says TEXT EDITOR, that you have selected HTMLarea and NOT 'PLAIN TEXT'.
What happens when you click the 'Inset/Modify image button' ?
As you can see 'cannot use' is not very helpful to describe what problem you are experiencing.

I had a little problem with htmlarea in fact, mine just vanished!
I copied the files from another one of my sites and upoaded them again and now its back. Do you have a backup of your files?

Just tried it again and figured it out, I wasn't giving it long enough to boot up - sorry i dont know the proper jargon

Proper jargon, is that something like 'thingy' a word I often use when chatting to tech support. They know what I mean so it must be correct jargon

Dooflie (pronounce 'do flea') is my personal favourite - as in that dooflie thing - you know the one with the whatsit on it - looks like a little elf or something (yeah never did figure that one out lol)
